I bought this product in the hopes of finding a new hobby while in quarantine. I love these watercolors. They are highly pigmented, don’t leave any pigment chunks on the paper, and are actually opalescent. There is a great selection of colors. I highly recommend getting these.

Have used this on several different watercolor paintings. Butterfly wings really pop with just a touch. Brings out water droplets on botanicals. Ideal for anything Christmas-y and of course glittery. Fun, easy to use and fun to experiment with for some interesting effects in “regular” watercolors. Works best on hot pressed, but shows up well on cold, too. Different effects on different finish as well as different weights. Dedicate a water source, though, as your rinse will have little iridescent specs in it, to avoid cross-“contamination”.

I purchased the metallic watercolors and I am very pleased with the pigment and how easy they are to hydrate and load on the brush. Very pretty and very usable for a beginner or a pro looking to add some metallics. Although they are somewhat opaque, you can hydrate them on the paper to get a more translucent look.
