The 8-key kalimba comes in a small gift box. I have attached a video showing what the packaging and the kalimba look like. So far, I am very satisfied with the purchase because the kalimba is of nice quality. The wood is pretty solid and the whole unit doesn’t feel flimsy at all. The keys play well so far but I can’t really speak much to the tune since I am a beginner. The kalimba comes with a nice lanyard that is adjustable in length although I haven’t quite figured out how to attach it to the instrument. The only downside is that the gift box is a little too small and thin to provide protection for the kalimba. This would be a nice and cute little gift for friends.

This thumb piano came in a cute box. Perfect for gift giving. The tines are tuned and ready to play. I noticed in one of my photos, the tines look brassy but they are indeed a silver-colored metal. I was very happy with my purchase. The item exceeded my expectations.
