Even with my car’s non-flat surfaced wheels, requiring the need to jack the front end up and down several times for frequent tire removing, measuring and adjusting, I was able to successfully align the camber (approx. neg. 1/2 degree – not verified by a reputable shop) on my car’s front wheels evenly, by sticking the tool on the brake rotors, while the car was off the ground (wheels off), then remeasuring while back on the ground (wheels on – tool on steel rule over rim’s center), and making corrective allowances for other suspension and alignment (toe-in/out) considerations and adjustments. Again, it took a few attempts and a little time, but still spared me the uncertainties and costs associated with possible unscrupulous shops. The tool seems excellent for the price and likely accurate enough for my needs (I’ll monitor the tire wear), even if it gets used this once.
