The patches work! But you have to be ready to quit yourself too. My first attempt with patches was about 3 years ago, I didn’t smoke for over a month and just because I wanted to try to smoke after so long not smoking I failed and got back to buying cigarettes. It’s not a surprise people get addicted to cigarettes crazy. I am only on day 7 now, but I am intending to go all the way to 8 weeks. I started with step 2. For past year I was hooked on juul rather than cigarettes. Overall I did start smoking early and been smoking for over 10 years. The effect: as I put it on, about 20 min after I start feeling some kind of rush with some dizziness, it’s manageable, but noticeable. It lasts about an hour max, then I supposed the way nicotine gets to the body evens out. For an experiment I left it once overnight and I did have vivid dreams, it was not fun. On the picture you can see, it detaches on edges, but it’s not going to fall off. Nicotine patches is a big help, but only if you decide to quit and get to the point that you are ready.

My back story: I am 23 at the time of writing this review. I have smoked cigarettes and vaped salt nicotine combined for more then nine years. I find it more difficult to quit as more of a prolong user you are to the substance. This is based on personal experience and stories of others.How to really quit: Finding reasons for yourself to quit. Many overlook this in the process of quitting. This is too critical and should not be overlooked. As previously, I tried to ditch this bad habit and failed. This road which you are planning to go down will be difficult and you WILL want to relapse. Find good reasons for yourself will be important step to quitting. Discipline is also an important factor. If anything I would say discipline goes first then reason why you want to quit is the reinforcing factor to stay on the right path. Your reasons must be very strong or else you will find yourself relapsing very soon.Adhesion: I have the newer batch that expires August 2023. The adhesive was not a issue for me. I strongly recommend to read the directions prior application. I have showered with it on on multiple occasions. I did once took off the patch, showered and then applied lotion. The patch did lose its adhesion here. Thats not an issue at all because you’re not supposed to take off the patch then reapply the same patch. At times when I wear a hoodie with soft cotton. The adhesion will pick up the lint on the jacket and also leave residue on my skin. I personally think this is a good sign for proper adhesion. Not to worry, as this washes off easily as long you are scrubbing the affected area. As I did read reviews for bad adhesion and not staying on the area placed.Value for money: This would be the only category I would rank very poor. I personally feel like its just a sealed sticker with nicotine on the other side. If you smell the other side where the nicotine resides. It smells very similar to tobacco vape juice. Nevertheless, if it can help me on my journey to becoming nicotine free then I don’t think a price tag can even be placed. I think of all the long term benefits associated with becoming a better me. That itself cannot be bought.Buying the right amount of nicotine for the patch: I have read reviews where the user felt ill due to wearing the patch. The amount of nicotine absorbed through the skin is very different from smoking/vaping it can take up to half hour to a hour for me to feel the urge to go away. I recommend to track how much you smoke/vape per day and keep a record of it. Do the math for how much nicotine you are putting into your system per day. Undercut that amount. I could have started on step one to be safe, but I knew I did not need that much, because I was already hitting my vape less. To start the process of quitting.Side effects: The very first time when I put the patch on it made me lightheaded for around 5 minutes or so. I did put on the patch on a empty stomach. I don’t know if that played a factor in that (I started on step two, 14 mgs). This had not happened again after the first day. The area which you put the patch on will itch and become red but will go away over time.I am currently 19 days without smoking or vaping nicotine.
